The Afro Beach Festival at Laboma Beach Resort in Accra featured an exciting horse racing spectacle as part of the celebrations during the “December in Ghana” festive season, drawing thousands of local and international visitors to enjoy thrilling races over two days. Several horses — including Puddle, Sonic, Sky, Rooney and Sayaria — delivered standout performances, with winning riders each awarded 1,000 Ghana cedis. Organisers and partners hope the event will help revive interest in horse racing in Ghana and boost domestic tourism, and plans are underway for future editions later in the year.
